Dental Implants

Bridges and dentures are excellent choices for improving the way your smile looks and helping it to do everything you depend on it to do. But at Prosthodontists of the Carolinas — Southport, our prosthodontists and team offer dental implants in Supply, North Carolina, to replace your entire tooth and give you a healthier, stronger smile. To see if this treatment is right for you, call 910-755-7500 for an appointment with Dr. Ralph Hoffmann or Dr. Robert Klink.

At our practice, we offer high-quality dental implants to replace one or more of your missing teeth. A dental implant is specially crafted to act as an artificial tooth root, bonding with your natural bone to strengthen the base of your jaw and stabilize your new artificial tooth. According to your situation, our prosthodontists can remove any damaged teeth from the affected area before prepping you for treatment. If necessary, you may also receive a bone grafting to strengthen your jawbone for the implant placement.

You may be well suited for a dental implant if you:

  • Have single or multiple missing teeth
  • Have a strong and healthy jawbone
  • Have healthy oral tissues
  • Do not smoke tobacco

During the first portion of the procedure, the implant post is surgically inserted into your jawbone to replace the missing tooth root. Once this is completed, a period of healing is often necessary to permit the post to connect with your natural bone. The second portion of treatment will involve the placement of your abutment post, which connects your dental restoration, or the artificial tooth, over the top of your implant post. Whether your restoration involves a dental crown, a dental bridge, or a complete or partial denture, we will make certain that your restoration is customized to fit your smile securely and comfortably.
